Page 1 of 2 This tutorial will teach you how to make a simple animated signature (for online forums, message boards e.t.c) in Photoshop and ImageReady.

For this tutorial I will be creating a simple signature containing the Porsche 911. You don't have to use a Porsche, or even a car! It can be anything.
Create a new Photoshop document, watch out that the document has the right size. For this Signature we’ll take 400*120 pixel. Now choose a background image (like the Porsche 911 I took) and copy it in to the signature document.

Now we need to give the image the right size and the right position, to do that select the whole image, press the right mouse button and click on Free transform, press shift while giving the image the right size, after that you can move it if you press the left mouse button. Sometimes if the image is too small to fill the whole space you need to create a new layer which is behind the first one. Fill this second layer with the background colour of the image you took for layer 1. Your screen should now look like the next screenshot.

The image we need now is the Porsche-logo, so use your browser and google to find a nice version of it. Open it with Photoshop and select the logo (we don’t need the background) now copy the logo into the signature document and place it like we did in the last step with the Porsche 911. When you're done with that it should look like the following image.

Create a new Layer now (the second symbol from right in the layer box) and fill it with black colour, to do that select the red circled tool and choose black as front colour (double click into the box in the red circle). This will make your screen look like the next image.
